Celebrating a productive workshop.

Celebrating a productive workshop.

Well, it’s coming to an end.  Today is the last day of events at the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference.  Wonderful lecture on “the secret history” of novels by Maud Casey in the morning followed by fiction workshops, last lunch then interesting talk by the editors of  A reading at 4:15, a special dinner, final reading at 8:15 by my fabulous roommate Lisa Fugard, author of Skinner’s Drift and then the final dance in the barn.

It has been an honor to work with Ann Hood and I will forever be indebted to her as an amazing example of teacher/mentor–gracias Ann!  Pig roast coming up soon!  Thanks to all the amazing writers populating every nook and cranny of this place–including contributors, scholars, fellows, faculty.  The social staff rocks, waitstaff rocks, everyone who has had a hand in making this come together deserves thanks and appreciation.  THANK YOU ALL.
