Poetry, Book Fesitval, music and more

April 23, 2010

The first UCF Book Festival was a grand success–I was very impressed with the turn out, exhibit hall, organization and quality of the panels.  Many congratulations to all of the organizers and I’m already looking for to next year’s!

Tomorrow morning, I will be performing poems from my forthcoming chapbook (small book of poems) at the downtown Orange County Public Library.  And not just reading . . . I will be accompanied by the wonderful music of Conjunto Kimbombo made up of two of my favorite guys–Jorge Milanés and Kevin Meehan.  Stop by and afterwards you can go to the Lake Eola Earth Day Celebration.

I’m so sorry I missed your Northeastern visit, Ceci. I was overjoyed to read about all your professional achievements and especially, about your rich literary life. We’re busy getting Antonia into Emma Willard next year. At that time, I may even have some time to visit, or to have you stay! As they say in a particular vernacular, you go, girl.

    Un abrazo grande,
